Technetium smiled at Yin, who walked into the room, "Yin! How happy I am to see you!"

Yin smiled weakly, then looked embarrassed and let go of Zim's wrist. Zim blinked, staring at Technetium in confusion.
Yin rolled her eyes at him and walked forward.
"Are you okay? What happened? You stopped transmitting."

"I had passed out. . . Apparently my body gave out during an argument." Technetium answered.

Yin's eyes widened, worry shining in her blue eyes. She sensed Zim walk up beside her and he stood still. She stole a glance at him to see mild concern in his features.

LardNar who had been leaning on the wall, now walked over and sat on the bed next to Technetium, "As long as she stays out of stress, she'll be fine."

Yin nodded, sympathy and worry overwhelming her. She tried to push it down - if Technetium checked her thoughts, she might get stressed.

LardNar patted Technetium's head softly, "I'm glad you have people to worry about you. Knowing how your leaders are."
Technetium smiled at him, then looked at Yin, "Want to sit? It's been so long!"

Yin tensed slightly as LardNar spoke. Though she didn't particularly like the Tallest, she was still loyal to them 'til the end.
Forcing herself not to think about it, she smiled and took a seat next to Technetium.

Technetium gave her a friendly hug. Then she introduced her to LardNar, who gladly met her.

Yin smiled and shook LardNar's hand. She glanced at Zim, hating that look of self-defeat on his face. Usually he was so confident, so sure of himself. But finding out that he was the reason a resistance had started was obviously too much for him.

LardNar saw the discontent on Zim's face, so he stood and walked over to him, "Come let us go and get you something sweet, and allow the girls to get comfortable."
Then he lead him out of the room.

Yin's gaze flickered to the doorway as Zim left, part of her not wanting him to go. But reassuring herself that he'd be fine since they practically worshipped him, she turned to Technetium.
"So, before you passed out, how was your mission?"
-
Zim reluctantly followed LardNar, still upset and angry that he was part of the reason they'd started a rebellion against the Irkens. After a moment of walking, he finally spoke.
"Why are you rebelling?"

"It was going well. I can't believe I found LardNar though! I've been searching for years!" Technetium exclaimed.
-
LardNar stopped walking face grim, "To save those who have been enslaved. . ." He answered.

Yin smiled weakly, not keen on the fact that her friend was totally fine with these guys rebelling against the Irken empire.
-
Zim shrugged.
"We don't treat them all THAT badly. And we only stick probes in their heads if they refuse to obey us. Zim sees nothing wrong with that."

Technetium frowned, "What do you mean rebellion?"
-
LardNar stared a him a moment then shrugged, "I see no point in arguing."

Yin looked away. "They're against the Irken empire. Zim... inspired them because he almost annihilated all life on Irk."
-
Zim kept walking, not saying another word. His eyes showed his feelings on the matter though, mostly portraying guilt. And why shouldn't they? He was the cause for them making a group to rebel against the Irken empire. It was all his fault.
His thoughts jumbled up until he came to rest on something. The girl had said that since he'd almost destroyed Irk, it meant they could too. But Zim had never done that. Sure, he'd been awesome plenty of times, but had he ever almost destroyed his own planet? Okay, maybe.

Technetium gasped, "I wasn't aware!"
-
LardNar was puzzled by Zim's silence, and once they were at the snack machine, he bought him many snacks.
Once they were all bought, he turned to Zim, "That Irken girl you were with, you must be great friends." He was trying to change Zim's thoughts, to help him relax.

Yin sighed. What could she do? These guys had helped Technetium and knew her from the past - she  didn't really feel like hurting any of them. But they were technically enemies to the Irkens.
-
Zim stopped, a deep green blush forming on his cheeks.
"Oh, uh, I guess. We, um..." He closed his mouth.

Technetium drew her knees to her chest, thinking of a way to change the subject, to get her stress down, "Well- uh- You and Zim. You guys seem to be getting along well. . ."
-
LardNar smiled at Zim, "Oh I see, are you two going to be mates? Or do you wish? I've always had someone in mind, but I have been scared to ask."

Yin stopped, blushing deeply.
"Oh! I, um... Y-yeah, I guess."
-
Zim's blush grow.
"No! I mean... I guess I kinda like her, but I don't want to ruin our friendship."

Technetium smiled at her friend, "You know, I don't have to read your mind to know your feelings. . ."
-
LardNar grinned widely, "I bet the two of you would have lovely smeets! Now I'm used to being alone, but I'll bet she couldn't live without you. . ."

Yin looked away, blush growing bigger. Swallowing, she looked at Technetium.
"Am... Am I defective?"
-
Zim sighed. He wasn't even sure they could create smeets - they'd both been born from tubes. But there were other things on his mind.
"That's the problem - I don't think she likes me back. She just tells me to shut up all the time. She thinks I'm in idiot."

Technetium's eyes widened, "Dear me. . . I- I thought you knew. . ."
-
LardNar shook his head, "It's obvious, she loves you. . . You just need to do something for her."

A tear rolled down Yin's cheek as she watched her friend, and she swallowed back more tears. All her life, she'd never aspired to be much, apart from a good, non-defective invader. And she couldn't even do that.
-
Zim rolled his eyes. "Oh, yeah, that'll be easy! Do you realise how hard she is to please? Simply because she's so beautiful, so intelligent and so logical, she doesn't need anything!"

Technetium hugged her friend, "If it makes you feel any better, I had a try at reading Zim's mind, he likes you a lot. . ."
-
"There tell her what you just told me!" LardNar exclaimed .

Yin sniffled slightly, still not looking at her friend. The news made her happier though, and as it slowly registered, she felt hope and joy fill her to the brim.
-
Zim opened his mouth to shout, then closed it and turned away.
"Zim... is scared."

Technetium smiled at her friend, "There, see, isn't that better? Now if only-" she trailed off.
-
"If it doesn't work, you can murder me yourself." LardNar guaranteed.

Yin looked up at her friend, wiping away the last few tears.
"If only what?"
-
Zim seemed to think about this, the possibility of murder running through his mind. Finally, he sighed and turned away.
"Zim shall consider it."

A deep purple blush covered Technetium's light blueish green face, "Oh it's nothing!"
-
LardNar smiled warmly at Zim, "You'd better start on your food."

Yin met her friend's eyes. "C'mon, tell me."
-
Zim looked down at the food in his hands and blinked. After a moment, he began eating it.

Technetium's eyes met Yin's, "Well i- uh, kinda have found someone to fancy." She was blushing brightly.
-
LardNar smiled at Zim, and began to work on his chips.

Yin watched her for a moment, before smiling gently. "Who?"
-
Zim ate quietly, lost in thought. If he told Yin he liked her and she liked him back, he'd be the happiest guy alive. But if she said no... He didn't even want to think about it.

Technetium remained silent, tracing circles with her finger, where LardNar had sat. Which made it obvious who she had taken fancy.

Yin swallowed. "It's... that dude that went off with Zim, isn't it?"

Technetium sighed, "I can't help it..."

Yin looked away. "I know."
A slightly confusing writing style for part of this one. I may edit it someday into a more understandable format. Until then, I hope it makes enough sense for you to read.
